As you can imagine, this sweet little instrument makes the fingers itch. Joe Souza outdid himself building this jewel. He demonstrates a fine sense of aesthetics combining the light and dark, the curved and straight, to create this feast for the eyes. The Super Concert model combines the long tenor scale with the more compact concert body to give a combination of power, ease of fingering, and classic ukulele tone.

The maple soundhole ring plays beautifully against the dark stripes in the koa and the ebony of the bridge and fretboard. The binding definitely adds a touch of class.

Take a bow, Joseph. Mahalo for your exquisite work. That koa makes the heart ache, doesn't it?

The tuners are Grover open backs. Joe got the action and neck shape just right for easy playing.

The koa neck and lovely back add more to this masterpiece.

More great figure on the side, along with the controls for the Baggs pickup in their classy bronze plate.
